Raisin Bread

Milk7 1/2 tsp
Eggs3
Butter3/4 cup
Salt1 1/2 tsp
Granulated sugar1/4 cup
special bread flour2 1/2 cups
dry yeast2 tsp
grape1 cup

Other dried fruits such as dried cherries, blueberries, cranberries or chopped dried apricots can be easily substituted for the raisins.

Instructions

  1. Measure all the ingredients (except the raisins) into the bread pan in the order listed. Place the bread pan into the machine.
  2. Select Program # 4, the appropriate chosen loaf weight and the Light crust colour. Start the program by pressing the On/Off button.
  3. During the kneading cycle, when the machine sounds, open the lid and add the raisins.
  4. At the end of the program, turn the machine off and remove the bread pan. Turn the bread onto a cooling rack. (If necessary, turn the bread onto its side to remove the kneading paddles with the hook provided.) Cool completely before slicing.
