Omega Boost Loaf



Water3/4 cup
Rape oil1 tbsp
Molasses2 tbsp
Salt1 1/2 tsp
Powdered milk1 1/2 tsp
special bread flour1 cup
Rye flour1 1/2 cups
Wholemeal flour2/3 cup
Wheatgerm powder2 tbsp
dry yeast1 tbsp
Linseed1/2 cup
Sunflower seeds1/3 cup

Flax seeds contain of omega 3 fatty acids: research shows that these fatty acids protect against both coronary heart disease and stroke. Grinding whole flax seed or using flax oil can provide even more of these essential fatty acids.


  1. Measure all the ingredients (except the two kinds of seeds) into the bread pan in the order listed. Place the bread pan into the machine.
  2. Select Program # 8, the appropriate chosen loaf weight and the preferred crust colour. Start the program by pressing the On/Off button.
  3. During the kneading cycle, when the machine sounds, open the lid and add all the seeds.
  4. At the end of the program, turn the machine off and remove the bread pan. Turn the bread onto a cooling rack. (If necessary, turn the bread onto its side to remove the kneading paddles with the hook provided.) Cool the bread completely before slicing.
