Water1 1/3 cups
Sunflower oil2 1/2 tsp
Salt1 1/2 tsp
Granulated sugar3 1/2 tsp
Powdered milk2 tbsp
special bread flour1 3/4 cups
Wholemeal flour1 cup
Rye flour3/4 cup
dry yeast1 1/2 tsp

This tender yet flavourful loaf will be a hit with everyone who tries it - even if they aren't brown bread enthusiasts.

Instructions

  1. Measure all the ingredients into the bread pan in the order listed.
  2. Place the bread pan into the machine.
  3. Select Program # 3, the appropriate chosen loaf weight and the preferred crust colour.
  4. Start the program by pressing the On/Off button.
  5. At the end of the program, turn the machine off and remove the bread pan.
  6. Turn the bread out onto a cooling rack. (If necessary, turn the bread onto its side to remove the kneading paddles with the hook provided.)
  7. Cool the bread completely before slicing.
